Stephen Bauer, MD, was selected as the Pathologist of the Year 1n 1999 by the College of American Pathologists. He received his MD from UCSF, where he also completed his residency, and is currently an associate clinical professor. He is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology. He has served as Director of Laboratories for Sutter Memorial Hospital, where he developed laboratories in cytogenetics and flow cytometry, and has also served as the Director of Laboratories for two other hospitals.
Peter Kolbeck, MD, has provided expert renal biopsy interpretations for over 19 years. After receiving his MD from Emory University, his anatomic pathology and immunopathology fellowship training took place at Duke University. He has been active in academic research, teaching and service at three different major university medical centers- Duke, University of Nebraska and UC Davis. He has authored or co-authored 35 research papers, written book chapters on nephropathology, edited a book on transplant pathology and directed two electron microscopy labs.
Jonathan Musicant, MD, received his MD from the University of Michigan. He completed residency in Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at UCSF and spent a year on the faculty in the division of Cytopathology. He completed a fellowship in Surgical Pathology at Stanford. He is board certified in Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Pathology and Cytopathology. He has been in private practice since 1993 where his primary interests have been in cytology, fine needle aspiration biopsy and surgical pathology.

James Davis, MD, received his MD and completed his residency in Pathology at Yale. He then served as the Senior resident in pathology at Montreal General Hospital and completed his training in laboratory medicine at John Hopkins. He has completed fellowships in Immunopathology and Hematopathology. He has served at several hospitals and was Clinical Assistant Professor in Pathology at Tulane. His primary interests are surgical pathology and hematopathology.
Oliver Stanton, MD, received his MD from UC Davis and completed a residency in Laboratory Medicine and Anatomic Pathology at UCSF. He completed fellowships in Hematopathology at UC Davis and Dermatopathology at UCSF. He is board certified in Anatomic Pathology, Dermatopathology, Hematopathology and Clinical Pathology.
Gary Ellinger, MD, received his MD from the University of Minnesota. He completed his residency in Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at UCSF, and returned to Minnesota for a fellowship in Surgical Pathology and Hematopathology at the University. He is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
